The Hospice at Home Nursing Service is now registered with Care Standards Inspectorate for Wales. The official launch of the service will take place in the Summer.
The Nursing Service will be piloted for three months in collaboration with 2 GP Practices in Ceredigion. Director of Nursing, Sarah Davies and Nurse Manger, Carys Stevens are currently discussing future roll out of the service with the local NHS Trust and the Local Health Board.
The nurses will provide high quality end of life care for patients who have expressed a wish to remain at home. Care will be delivered as part of a planned intervention and in collaboration with other health care professionals. It will form part of the total holistic approach to Hospice Care provided by the Charity as a whole.
We are planning Open Days IN BOTH Aberystwyth and Cardigan offices, for any nurses who are interested in finding out more about the charity and the services offered, including recruitment opportunities.
Dates will be:
Aberystwyth - Tuesday 17th April 12.00 – 14.00pm / 17.00 – 19.00pm
Cardigan - Wednesday 18th April 12.00 – 14.00pm / 17.00 –19.00pm
