Founded in 2000 the charity was formed to bridge the current gap in support for people coming to terms with the devastating news of a terminal illness. Often there is a sudden loss of income when someone in the family falls ill.
We provide:
Community Volunteer Sitting Service giving carers much needed respite relief.
Meeting Rooms/Drop in Centres
Located at each office for Users, Carers and Volunteers to provide mutual support and exchange of help and information. Somewhere to meet, relax and have a cup of coffee.
A Palliative(Hospice at Home) Nursing Service
Operating in close co-operation with the Primary Health Care Teams and Macmillan Nurses. Our aim is to enable terminally ill people to die at home if that is their wish.
